A Family Date

So I'm really going to try to keep up with the blog a bit more often. Last week was pretty crazy because it was Mother's Day, then Emerald's FIRST birthday, followed by Michael's birthday. (I won't say how old he is now...but I like to tease him that he is now old-ish!) Michael had most of the week off trying to finish up the basement (I hope to post some progress pictures soon) but his birthday pretty much got lost in the shuffle of everything else. Since we didn't go on a romantic getaway vacation like we had planned, we decided to do some fun things as a whole family...and one of the things we did was go to Sesame Street Live!
Elliott doesn't go crazy for Sesame Street as much anymore - but around his 2nd birthday he couldn't get enough Elmo! Here he is at Halloween last year...our cute little Elmo.

Thankfully, Friday night was cheap ticket night for Sesame Street Live since I think the show actually started AFTER most kids should have been in bed. But they did a good job with lots of music and all of the characters.

This is my favorite picture from the night - mostly because of the look on Emerald's face. She was precious and loved every minute of the show! She also had quite a fun time 'flirting' with a little 6 or 7 year old boy sitting next to us. They were great friends by the end of the night. SO cute!
